An alarm nobody sees
isn't safety

You can have the fastest SOS on the market. It's worthless if the alert lands where no-one's looking — or dials the emergency line for the wrong country. This week we shipped the two unglamorous things that decide whether safety software actually works: it fits your tools, and it follows your people across borders.

The part the brochures skip

Every safety vendor talks about response time. Almost none of them talk about the two things that quietly decide whether any of it works: whether the alarm reaches somewhere a human is actually looking, and whether it calls the right emergency number for the country the person is standing in.

You can have sub-second fall detection and a one-tap SOS and an AI watching for the emergencies a button never catches. It counts for nothing if the alert dies in an inbox at 2am, or dials 999 while your engineer is face-down in Rotterdam. This week we shipped both fixes. Neither is glamorous. Both are the difference between safety theatre and safety.

An SOS that becomes an incident before anyone reads it

Picture the moment it matters. A lone technician, 200 miles from base, takes a fall on a night shift and can't reach their phone. Vygard detects it. In the seconds that follow — before a single person has glanced at a screen — the alert is already sitting in the on-call Microsoft Teams channel with a live map, a P1 incident has opened itself in ServiceNow, and a high-priority case is logged in Salesforce. The response didn't wait for someone to notice. It started on its own.

That's what Vygard's new integrations do. Slack and Teams are live today — one webhook, set up in minutes. ServiceNow, Salesforce and BambooHR connect self-serve from Settings, credentials encrypted at rest. Resolve the incident in Vygard and the ServiceNow ticket and Salesforce case close themselves, so nothing is left dangling. No middleware, no integration project, no six-figure consultancy — your safety events simply flow through the systems your teams already live in, audit trail attached.

Safety that knows which border you're standing behind

Lone work and solo adventure don't respect borders, so we stopped pretending they do. A field crew that crosses from France into Germany changes emergency number at the line on the map. A traveller in Sydney needs Triple Zero, not 999. From this week, Vygard routes every alarm that needs the emergency services to the correct local number — 999, 911, 112, 000 and their equivalents — based on where the person actually is, not where the company happens to be registered.

And the commercial side finally caught up. Vygard now shows native pricing in six currencies — pounds, euros, and US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars — chosen automatically by location. No mental arithmetic, no 'contact us for international pricing'. It feels local because now it is.

Boring on purpose. Decisive in practice.

None of this will win a design award. It's plumbing. But plumbing is exactly what separates safety software that gets bought from safety software that gets used. An alarm your team never sees isn't safety — it's a liability with a nice interface. An alert that dials the wrong country isn't reassurance — it's a delay measured in the minutes that matter most.

So we'd rather get the unglamorous things right. It's all live now, self-serve, on the same platform that already delivers one-tap and voice SOS, automatic fall and man-down detection, and Howie — the AI watcher that raises the alarm the moment someone can't.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms does Vygard integrate with?
Slack and Microsoft Teams for instant alerting are live now. ServiceNow (incidents), Salesforce (cases) and BambooHR (worker directory sync) are available self-serve from Settings, with credentials encrypted at rest. Comms and IoT transports connect over standard protocols with no bespoke middleware.
Which countries and currencies does Vygard support?
Vygard shows local pricing in GBP, USD, EUR, AUD, CAD and NZD, chosen automatically by location. Safety is country-aware too: alerts that need the emergency services route to the correct local number (999, 911, 112 and equivalents) for wherever the person is.
Do the integrations require custom development?
No. Slack and Teams are a single webhook each; ServiceNow, Salesforce and BambooHR are configured self-serve from Settings. There's no bespoke middleware to build or maintain.
